Lulu Guinness first launched her brand in 1989 and her instant success allowed her to open shops in London, New York, Tokyo and Seoul. Her world famous handbags and accessories are also stocked in department stores such as Harrods, Selfridges, Fortnum and Mason, Brow Thomas and Lane Crawford.
Lulu's iconic creations have become collectables and are fixtures at the Victoria and Albert Museum and Sotheby's in London and New York. Her bags have also been spotted on Helena Bonham Carter, Katy Perry, Christina Aguilera, Rachel Weisz, Dita von Tesse, Florence Welch and Alexa Chung.
Despite never receiving any formal training, Lulu's passion and vision led her to success. In 2006 she was awarded and OBE and in 2009 she was given the ICONOCLAST Award for Lifetime Achievement in Handbag Design at the Independent Handbag Designer Awards. Most recently, in 2012 Lulu received an honorary doctorate from the University of the Arts.
