3 British Summer Activities to Start Planning Now
March 3, 2021
After a long winter, we finally feel like Spring and Summer are just around the corner. Hopeful about the end of the pandemic, we can start planning Summer activities. We’ve been at home for so long it feels overwhelming to even imagine going out but it will be a reality soon. See our list of 3 British Summer activities to start planning now:
First thing everyone is looking forward to is meeting their friends and family. It may be a while until we can hang out at each other's houses but the garden feels more realistic. Prepare your garden for social activities. Social distancing may still be in place for a while but a well organised garden/ balcony can be the refuge we all need. Invest in garden furniture and a garden umbrella. We offer branded garden parasols here. Minimum order quantity is 5 but you can get together with family members or friends and order a cheerful design that will be repeated in each of your gardens.
Second most important British institution that everyone missed dearly are the pubs! Hopefully they will be reopened soon and we'll get to have all the fun in the pub gardens with our friends. Oh the pints, the g&t’s and the shared bottles of Rose - hello Summer! If you know any landlords or landladies, let them know that Jollybrolly now offers Branded pub umbrellas! See our wide selection here. The colourful pub parasols will look beautiful in the newly reopened pub gardens!
Third reason to start dreaming about Summer right now are the beaches! Be conscious not to choose busy, overcrowded beaches this Summer. Once you’re on the beach, enjoy the fish and chips, ice cream and all that British Seaside has to offer. You can take your branded garden parasol to the beach to provide some shade - they’re so versatile! Don't forget the sunscreen and clean your beach area after you leave.
It's been a long time since we all had fun and it looks like this Summer has a potential to be epic. Don't hold back and try to get the vaccination as soon as possible so that we can all move on!
