The Best Wedding Trends You Will See Everywhere in 2017
February 7, 2017
Trends are one of those things that disappear just as fast as they arrive and your wedding photos will forever be able to capture the moment and the wonderful time you had on the day. This year, the wedding trends that are set to take 2017 by storm are not only beautiful but are timeless.
The Colour Comeback
Colour is definitely coming back, versus all-white weddings. Including more colour in floral arrangements, centrepieces and fashion is set to make a big return this year and with Pantone’s Colour of the year being green we could see a lot of this in the wedding world. This colour trend could also be used for your wedding umbrella, mixing up the white with some rainbow colours!
Couples these days have gone fully electronic when it comes to their wedding plans, especially due to the popularity of apps like Pinterest. Millennials are all about the technology so they would want to plan their wedding right at their fingertips at any given moment. Looking forward, this year there is going to be a continued increase in seeing the whole planning process online.
When it comes to florals are, we going to be seeing a lot of garlands and organic bouquets as well as main centrepieces, rather than the picked and pruned flowers which look perfect. People will be heading to the garden for their flowers as opposed to the florist.
Something that we will also be seeing a lot of is very simple and natural decorations, more wood, greenery and candles will be used for weddings which give a more of a rustic and chic overall look. Also, a lot of fairy lights everywhere; around trees, in jars and as centrepieces. Fairy lights are here to stay!
Rose gold stole the hearts of most of us in 2016 and it's a shade that isn’t going anywhere fast. With its popularity growing the colour is being used more in weddings from dinnerware and decorations to even the bride's dress, and we can't wait to see what 2017 will coat our favourite metallic shade in.
Weddings are now more commonly being held in more exotic locations and we are expected to be seeing a lot more of this in the following year. While tropical paradises like Mexico, Jamaica and the Bahamas are still top of the hot spot list to tie to knot other destinations such as Iceland, Canada and Italy are emerging as popular locations for couples to get hitched.
Neutral Tones and Bright Accents
This year we are expecting to see a lot of more dreamy palettes of greys, creams, light peach and gold colours paired with a lot of glass and metallic.
