Inspire Yourself With These Celeb Weddings
September 22, 2014
Celebrity weddings are always great for giving us inspiration for our own big days. Although most of us don’t have the budgets for a Kim and Kanye style bash, celeb weddings are great places to steal ideas from to create your own VIP experience.
Victoria Adams & David Beckham
We remember where we were when this happened, do you? It was the celebrity wedding of the decade in the UK as both the bride and grom were at the top of their respective careers, with David scoring like mad for Manchester United and Victoria being the poshest of spices knocking up number one hits all across the globe with the Spice Girls.
The wedding was typically of the 90s it-couple, with Victoria in a strapless Vera Wang gown complete with 20 foot train and diamond-encrusted crown. And who could forget the reception? We all know it because of the fantastically kitsch golden thrones upon which the newlywed couple sat – a sight befitting of their king and queen status of the time. The golden couple of 90s pop culture!
Lily Allen & Sam Cooper
The marriage of Lily Allen to her beau Sam Cooper led many to believe this usually outspoken singer’s wild child youth was behind her. She was a picture of sophisticated glamour in a gorgeous gown by Delphine Manivet and a stunning vintage headpiece.
The reception was a typically British tea and cricket theme, a lovely idea for patriotic couples who love the garden fete feel for their wedding. Lily and Sam used their reception as a platform to announce the arrival of their first child together, a beautiful moment to share with friends and family on such a perfect day.
Kaley Cuoco & Ryan Sweeting
Kaley Cuoco proved that you do not have to dress in white to be an eye-catching bride! The star of the Big Bang Theory married her sweetheart in a gorgeous strapless Vera Wang gown in a vibrant pink tone.
The couple married at nighttime surrounded by candles and chandeliers, which is something quite unique and very pretty. The idea of marrying at night creates an air of intimacy between the couple and their guests, and allows the party to continue into the early hours!
Justin Timberlake & Jessica Biel
Could this couple be any more gorgeous? The effervescent Jessica Biel and the always handsome Justin Timberlake married in a rather down-to-earth ceremony considering their combined fame and wealth. Jessica chose a petal pink gown by Giambattista Valli with her hair up and Justin chose a simple black suit from Tom Ford.
The couple opted for a coconut wedding cake and enjoyed their first dance to the song A Song for You. Both the ceremony and reception were contemporary and simplistic, with the happiness of the couple being more than enough decoration.
Lauren Parsekian & Aaron Paul
Aaron Paul has leapt onto the Hollywood scene since his critically-acclaimed performance in Breaking Bad. His wedding had him looking a lot less meth-addicted and a lot more James Bond! He married his stunning blonde bride Lauren in California and the couple looked incredibly in love.
She wore an amazing dress from Amsale and Aaron wore a custom Burberry tuxedo. The couple opted for a Parisian Carnival theme with vintage rides and amusement stands offering fun and frolicks to guests, both young and old. The vintage theme is always popular and is perfectly romantic for this striking couple.
So you don’t have the budget to hire a pop star to sing your first dance song, and a vintage Parisian ferris wheel may not be in the budget – but there are lots of ways to put celebrity style into your wedding. Why get a popstar when you can hire a great impersonator (much cheaper and less of an ego!) and if you want to go vintage, why not use old-fashioned parasols to give a 1920s style to tables or reception rooms?
No need to spend big bucks to achieve top quality celeb style!
