Cheap Umbrella vs Best Umbrella
December 9, 2018
‘Do Your Research’ … not the most exciting words you’ve ever heard, are they? Especially when the research in question is cheap umbrella related! BUT believe it or not, putting a little bit of thought an effort into choosing the right umbrella can actually make the world of difference. It will be the deciding factor between whether your new brolly goes straight in the bin or whether you can carry it around for a decade and end up gutted when you inevitably leave it in your taxi 10 years from now.
Not to worry! We spend an awful lot of time thinking about cheap umbrellas, researching umbrellas, testing umbrellas, photographing umbrellas… you name it- we’ve done it. So we thought it would be our duty to take some of the pain out of the research stage for you.
You can easily pick up a brolly for £5 but chances are it doesn’t have the sturdiest build. We even sell them, but they are marketed as disposable event umbrellas for just that reason! We’ve started with our best ‘cheap umbrellas’ (ie. under £20 umbrellas) below and worked our way through some popular categories with ‘cheap’ and ‘luxury’ options for each. So have a browse through and see where you sit on the umbrella scale!
Best Cheap Umbrella
Rainbow Mini Golf Umbrella (£9.99): Championing the budget corner this umbrella won’t break the bank but it’s 16 ribs make the frame much stronger than your average umbrella.
Colour Club Golf Umbrella (£19.00): If you’re willing to stretch a bit further our Colour Club Golf Umbrellas come in a range of colours and are a great budget option.
Best Compact Umbrella
Fulton Windbreaker Umbrella (£22.00): If you’re after a relatively cheap umbrella that’s compact AND sturdy this is your go to!

Best For Wind
Fulton Stormshield Umbrella (£27.00): Just because it’s a cheap umbrella doesn’t mean this brolly compromises in performance. The Vented canopy is super strong and was designed specifically for wind!
