First ever public preview of the RHS Chelsea Flower Show to be held
February 12, 2016
A public preview of the RHS Chelsea Flower Show is to be held later this month for the first time ever, where the public will be able to interact with the show’s garden designers during a question and answer session.
The Chelsea Preview in the Lindley Hall in Westminster, will take place during The RHS London Spring Plant Fair on February 16 and February 17. There will also be a special exhibition of the images and design sketches of the Chelsea gardens on show.
RHS Chelsea Show Manager Tom Harfleet said: “This is a one-off opportunity to see designs and sketches that would never usually be made available to the public.” Anyone who might be interested in garden design or would like to take the chance to see some of the gardens before the crowds are in, and there are plenty of stunning displays to see.
The RHS London Spring Plant Fair is the first RHS Show of the year with early flowering plants from the leading UK nurseries and growers on display. They will also be selling plants and bulbs such as daffodils and snowdrops. Also available to any budding gardeners will be RHS Advisors on hand for any gardening queries.
If there is a chance of rain during your visit, be sure to bring along an umbrella. We have many plain umbrellas available that will add a splash of colour to your outfit and also co-ordinate with the flowers on display.
Tickets cost £6 in advance or £9 on the day (February 16 or February 17) with late entrance at £5 and free for RHS members.
